I gifted this to my boyfriend for valentines day because I knew how much he wanted it.
My conclusion: far better than a box of chocolates.
I have only listened to it 3 or 4 times so far, So I am not familiar with what my favourite songs are, or maybe that is just because the whole album is fantastic.
It's been a while since I have listened to Ol' Franzie, but I have always liked them, and this does not dissapoint. The music is still precise and the lyrics and vocals are still sexy, ha.
I really wish I could say my favourites but the whole album just blends really well.
Plus, I mean, well, how awesome is the cover art?
..I would have purchased it on that alone.

Two words = Fucking Awesome!
Lily Allen is so perfectly sweet, and poppy, yet harshly brutal.
I loved the last album, but this is just fantastic.
Mostly the album seems based on personal relationships, with herself, men and friends.
Stand-outs on the album for me being;
1.Track 2: The Fear,
About how fucked up we are, and how we idolise stupid things.
2.Track 3: Not Fair,
Hilarious, and true. Quite simply about finding a perfect man who sucks in bed.
"It's not fair, and I think you're really mean.., You're supposed to care that you never made me scream..."
3.Track 7: Never Gonna Happen,
About hating an ex who is dangling on desperately, and how shit it is. Catchy as, cute music.
"How on earth could I be any more obvious? It never really did and now it's never gonna happen with the two of us."
and, 4.Track 8: Fuck You!, or Guess Who Batman?
The Way I see this: George Bush? I'm not too sure, it just seems so with little lines such as:
"Do you get, Do you get a little kick out of being small minded ,You want to be like your father ,His approval your after
Well that's not how you'll find it "
"You say, that we need to go to war. Well, we're already in one.."
Hmmmm..not sure. I love it anyway, I just need to watch myself walking around singing "Fuck you, Fuck you very very much!"
My Vote:BUY IT!

Yves Klein Blue, and newly found Australian band whose song "Polka" hit mainstream music after being featured in a car advertisment. Interesting. Who cares how it got known, the fact is: This song is so fantatically cute! Listen, i am sure you will love, and their EP "Draw Attention To Themselves" descibes exactly what this band did, they are very easy on the eyes, and most importantly; The ears.
Laura Marling, born 1st Feburary 1990, England. This girl, born 4 months and 20 days before I is a relatively well-known folk-pop singer/songwriter signed to Virgin records. If there were ever a time for me to feel small and insignificant, it would be now. I, Madeleine Rose Chapman, born 21st June 1990, New Zealand. This girl, a relatively un-known wanna-be photographer/musician working at Mc Donalds. It is times like these that make me wonder; Is laura Marling just a lucky girl, lucky someone stumbled across her quirky yet tortured love songs, or did she push for what she wanted, but if that is the case, how the fuck does she know what she wants? I know i don't. Or even worse, what every plain girl fears, is it that she looks the part, this petite, porcelain -faced, stunning young girl, the face that girls want and men want to look at? I guess I will go with the fact that she is immensely talented, and possibly a very charming and interested person. I find it hard to be jealous of her, because i always come to the conclusion that she deserves it, whatever "it" may be.
This album is a mix of quirky love stories, and sad, longing ones. A perfect mix really, that's what i love the most, she writes about beautiful, and tragic stories that people relate to, but where she found these tales of love at 18, i do not know.
Track one; Ghosts, is one of the happy ones, a story not of her own, but someone else's, one of starting new, of trusting someone after pain, getting over "Ghosts that broke my heart before i met you." This track leaves me unsure as to whether i should dance around the room in a jig-like fashion or quietly sob with joy over the tale of getting over troubles, which leads me to track two; Old Stone. This tone is a definite sad, sorry one. I know for sure, when i am sad this song with not make me smile, but at the same time it helps me realise that everyone goes through their own shit, "Old stone, ten thousand years, and you are still on your own. Don't you, Don't you love me that way?", i relate and i know i will be okay.
Tap at my window, track three. Like all he songs, i think all her songs can be interpreted in many ways depending on the listener, this song is about many things, i think mostly being unsure about how she feels about everything, i know this happens to me a lot, "So tap at my window, maybe i'll let you in. But i don't think i will though, my hearts taken i wont tell you again."
Track Four; Failure. Another song from someone else's perspective, the title i think speaks for itself. "Don't cry child, you've got something i would die for." It is every sweet, very sweet.
The whole album goes this way, the songs resemble something honest and tragically beautiful we can all relate too, and if you want to cry, listen to the words, but the music is perfectly uplifting, this album is a beautiful tale from an 18 year old girl, i recommend it to anyone, and everyone.
Previously known as "The Management" these two independent electronic hippies are made up of two members: Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden.
I can only explain the music as Psychedelic/Synth/Rock/Dance?/and soon, i'm sure; Pop.
Their single off the album Oracular Spectacular, "Time to Pretend" that lasts 4:21, a decent timed song, a very catchy song which to me reaches out to me a song written about fame, actually it's quite obvious:
"This is our decision, to live fast and die young.
We've got the vision, now let's have some fun.
Yeah, it's overwhelming, but what else can we do.
Get jobs in offices, and wake up for the morning commute."
My favourites off the album are the single, Time to Pretend, Kids, which has a feel of something deeper, the lyrics mean something more, and Electric Feel which is just sexy, sleazy, and, well, fantasticly smooth.
I am enjoying ever second of this album!
You will too if you like "T-rex", which is an old-skool MGMT.
Peace, and love. I leave you with MGMTs electic feel, the sexy amazon song.
x madeleine rose.
we thought they would be shit.
but they look oh so cool.
(it's not them-these people are models because the band is probably ugly, or probably because the band is ugly).
but looks aside- it is an awesome album.
drugs.
chill.
drink.
1st track- "You, Apperaing" does not fail to please, when most of all the lyrics for the entire song are:
"It's your face. Where are we? Save me."
I am not sorry i paid for this. If you are wondering.. just do it. It's so..so..so.
